Adrian Ursu

I was born in Romania, raised in the city of Detroit, and have lived much of my adult life in Los Angeles. Each, very different chapters of my life that have influenced my voice as a filmmaker.

And then there’s my creative life which covers a lot of ground, from drawing and painting to getting my undergrad degree in architecture, which ultimately brought me to LA for SCI-Arc’s graduate program. I decided not to attend and instead, switched gears into film, living out “film school” by taking every job I could get on a film set.

I went on to do a two-year program for actors, writers, and directors, further finding what I’m drawn to and finding my voice. Meanwhile, I worked more and more as an editor, leading to dozens of broadcast spots and endless other pieces of content, including short films I also wrote, produced, and directed.

At the core, I’m a storyteller who loves strong tone, mood, and cinematic visuals.

I’m a father, husband, cinephile, rock climber, and avid lover of the outdoors.
